Terms of Service
Last updated 29 July 2026 · Governed by the laws of England and Wales
1. Who we are and what this is
JOSHRIX Studio ("JOSHRIX", "we") operates joshrix.com — an AI-assisted game-creation platform where creators pay for AI work in ACUs (AI Compute Units) and publish playable games. By creating an account, buying ACUs, forging, or publishing, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
2. Accounts
- You must be at least 13 to play and at least 18 (or have a guardian's consent) to buy ACUs or receive payouts.
- You are responsible for activity on your account. Keep your credentials private and tell us via the contact page if you suspect misuse.
- Playing and browsing are free. All AI features are paid — there is no free AI tier. Tester accounts we designate receive test ACUs for evaluation only; test balances have no monetary value and may be reset at any time.
3. ACUs
- ACUs are a prepaid credit for AI work on JOSHRIX (100 ACUs = £1 of platform price). They are not money: no cash value, non-transferable, and redeemable only against JOSHRIX services.
- Purchased ACUs are valid for 12 months from purchase; subscription ACUs are valid for the subscription period. Expired ACUs lapse.
- Prices shown to you are the total you pay — see the pricing page. ACU balances only ever increase through verified payment settlement or grants we make.
4. Your games and your IP
- You own the games you create. Concepts, titles, and the creative output of your paid AI runs belong to you, subject to third parties' rights in anything you supplied.
- You grant JOSHRIX a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, store, reproduce, and stream your published games so we can operate the platform (including the play links, marketplace listings, and promotional thumbnails).
- You must own or have rights to everything in your prompts. Don't forge games built on other people's characters, brands, music, or likenesses without permission — the Idea Agent screens for this and moderation enforces it.
- Remixing another creator's game routes an ancestor royalty share per the marketplace terms shown at the point of remix.
5. Publishing and moderation
- Every game enters human moderation review before its public play link goes live. Until approval, only you can preview it.
- We may reject or unpublish content that is unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit, dangerous to minors, infringing, deceptive, malicious (including code that harms devices), or that violates these terms. Rejection reasons are shown in your studio where practical.
- Moderation decisions don't refund consumed ACUs — the AI work was performed — except where the failure was ours; see the refund policy.
6. Payments, subscriptions, and payouts
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We never store card numbers. A charge settles only when our payment processor confirms it.
- Subscriptions renew until cancelled; cancelling stops future renewals and keeps access until the end of the paid period.
- Creator payouts require identity verification at the thresholds shown in the wallet, a minimum balance of £10, and a valid payout method. We may withhold payouts pending fraud or chargeback investigation.
- Founder Passes are refundable in full any time before your access activates; on activation they convert per their listing.
7. Acceptable use
No abuse of the AI agents (attempting to extract keys or system prompts, generating malware, harassment, CSAM, or unlawful content), no attacking or overloading the service, no scraping other creators' games, no circumventing ACU charges or moderation. We may suspend accounts that do.
8. Service, changes, and liability
- The platform is provided "as is" during active development; AI output is probabilistic and we don't guarantee a given result, ranking, or revenue.
- We may change features and prices; already-purchased ACUs keep their value in platform terms.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the law of England and Wales (including for death, personal injury by negligence, or fraud). Otherwise, our total liability to you in any 12-month period is capped at the amounts you paid us in that period.
- Your statutory rights as a UK/EU consumer are unaffected.
9. Ending things
You can close your account at any time from your profile. We can suspend or terminate accounts for material breach. On closure, your published games are unpublished, and clauses that by nature survive (IP, liability, disputes) survive.
10. Contact and disputes
Questions or complaints: use the contact page. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes go to the courts of England and Wales (consumers keep any mandatory local protections).
